To smoke a peace pipe
Your sister, who has been living in the UK for ten years, is planning to hold her wedding reception on an
estate in the English countryside. She would like to serve a selection of Belgian beers at the reception.
You have bought 120 litres of beer and 450 cigars to be handed to the guests, as a gift for your sister.
You are completely unaware of the fact that you are carrying more than the permitted amount of alcohol
and tobacco with you into the UK. Unfortunately, when the ferry arrives at Dover customs officials want to search your car.
One of them approaches you with a frown, saying that he has some questions.

What will be the main aim of your communication with the official in this situation?
