Patients with problems
It hurts!
One of Florence's colleagues has a strange story about one of his patients. This patient had aches all over her body. Read the text and complete it with the simple past tense of the verb between brackets.
For regular verbs this tense is formed with
infinitive (without 'to') + ED.

Een van Florences collega's heeft een vreemd verhaal over een patiënt. Deze patiënt heeft pijn over haar hele lichaam. Lees de tekst en vul aan met een verleden tijd van het werkwoord tussen haakjes. Voor regelmatige werkwoorden wordt de verleden tijd gevormd door de infinitief zonder 'to' + ED.
An interesting patient (to visit) me last week, Mrs Ouch. She (to complain) about feeling pain all over her body. I (to ask) her to tell me more about her problem. She (to start) with her head. When she (to touch) her head, it hurt. Next she (to talk) about her arm. When she touched her arm, it hurt. Then she (to mention) her nose, her ear, her leg, her foot and her toes. When she touched them, they all hurt. I (to look) at her for a moment. Then I
(to explain) to her: "Madam, I think you have a broken finger!"
